Default New UAD-1 plate reverb released

http://www.uaudio.com/products/softw...140/index.html

Its out at last!!!!! and oh my god, its a good one. This thing sounds SERIOUSLY bloody good, I would even go as far to say it beats my precious classic verb on powercore. The sound is so lush and natrual, I cant wait to try this thing over some TI patches.

If you were even in doubt about which dsp card to get, uad wins hands down now. The new verb pisses on ANYTHING native and all of those shitty convulsion verbs.....this and the m3d mastering set im gonna get for powercore and the TI in december, its gonna be a good christmas!!!

Well, lets not forget that native plug-ins are still DSP based, it's just that it uses "Virtual DSP" via the computers processors. I doubt there is any difference in sound between a dedicated DSP system running a reverb, and the same reverb on a Native system.

The only difference is that a dedicated DSP system does not steal precious resources from you CPU

But anyways, I think I am just being a bitch.....the new plate reverb sounds cool, and I am extremely jealous because I want a UAD-1

Oh, ive no doubt native reverbs COULD sound as good as this, but they wont for a few years at least, until cpu power has increased dramatically. If the code was ported as it is to native it would bring current CPUs to thier knees the power it would demand. Current native reverbs are coded with corner cutting algos etc because of this reason, and thats why they dont sound anywhere near as good, and wont for a couple years.

I seriously recommend getting a uad1 with this verb to anyone whos looking for a decent software based one. Uads are pretty cheap now at about ?300 and the verb is ?80. Its truly stunning, I cant wait to throw it over some TI strings and pads
