This is my final project for electronic music class. It's still not finished, but I want to know what you guys have to say about it.

Listening now

I like the intro for a radio type song.
- On my monitors, it sounds like a nice mix.
- Snare may be a little loud.
- Liking the breakbeat
- Sounds like the bass mirrors the chord progression. Try varying it up a bit. Like drop the bass down 3 semitones if the lead is being raised by 3 semitones.
- Over all awesome job. I enjoyed it.

Hamstar, I really like this. Like merlot said, bring the snare level down a little and it will blend in nicely. I look forward to hearing some more of your work.

Hello.

Can I just ask.......is this original work? Its either a tune ive heard before....or a chord sequence ive heard played out 1000 times.

Personally, this is not really my style of music....

Whack in some 80's synth brass staggered chords then we're talking hehe

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

you are taking an electronic music class? which level, course requirements etc? interesting!

ok time to be brutally honest here. this is an ok production, snare is way loud as previously said, and it lacks the attention to detail in my opinion.

even more importantly.. when will people ever get sick of doing the same thing over and over and over and over. this piece is a replica of a million other tunes.. and its only a half decent replica too. why bother?

ok so that was harsh... i can tell you know what you are doing, i hope you spend time trying to create more unique pieces in the future. good luck!

Yea the snare is too loud sorry bout that. Even though this piece may sound similar to other songs I did do it myself and I was not copying any songs. I used a virus indigo for all the synth sounds, and Reason for the drums. I was just messing around on my synth and I came up with the chord sequence, but I didnt copy any songs. My electronic music class is at a community college called De Anza, and as you might expect you only have to be interested in the subject to take the introductory class. I am currently in the intermediate class where we are mostly learning about Reason. My goal was to make a song that was kinda like trance because most of the kids in my class are into hip hop/experimental. Thx for listening to my song you guys, great suggestions and comments.
