why dont the code options work on this forum

why do none of the code options on this forum work, the only one that works is the you tube option but the sound quality isnt good on you tube.

ive got code to embed a media player (works on other forums) but here it just puts the code in a text box like this:

html code is disabled on this forum (as it is on most), to protect against spammers posting malicious stuff I guess. You can still use BBcode though.
