Default I tried sounddiver virus (couldn't resist)

Never really thought I needed a librarian thingy, but after reading about it I thought I'd give it a try. Couldn't detect my VC through the um550 interface and didn't think much of it. Then my arpeggios stopped working (WTF?).

No, really, just after I fiddled with this, the arpeggiator suddenly was only working in about 1 out of 4 patches that were set up to use it. I swear, I didn't do anything else. Very weird. Anyway, I got to re-discover how to load a new OS on my VC (it's been the better part of a year).

Curious to see if any of the other devices on my switch got beat up in some way -- there's a lot of parameters to examine. I've learned my lesson for the day.

Sounds like a wierd thing to happen......

In my time with Virus/Sound Diver, I havent had too many problems, and I use it occassionally when sound designing, as there arent enough knobs on my rackXL..

Damn I wish I bought the desktop!!!

Many people have or have had trouble with Sounddiver. On the other hand many people swear by it. Personaly I have never used it.

Anyway.....Hope what ever the trouble was has been fixed with the new OS install.

You guys ever use Midiquest XL? It works ok with the virus b, I don't think they have updated the virus specs with the OS upgrades though.

Re-installing 6.5 did the trick -- it's back to its old self again.

I bought Sounddiver 3.0 a while ago. It is a useful editor when it works. The Sound Diver 3.0 reads the Virus well , but refused to read my Nord Lead 2x and Micro Korg. Let me correct myself, use to read my Micro Korg and now it does not. Sound Diver also for some reason does not work with the Motu Midi Interfaces that well either.
