Default What mixer?

Alright everyone,

I've just sold my soundcraft mixer it was taking up far too much room and I am after a replacement for it thats not going to take up the whole desk. I'm after something reasonably cheap(?250) with plenty of inputs(I use 13 just now so a bit of room for some additional synths would be good). Something thats not noisy either. Got any suggestions?

I was thinking of something like the Behringer UB2222FX or UB2442FX, Soundcraft E12 or Yamaha MG16/6FX has anyone got experience of any of these or able to recommend something else.

Cheers

One thing you may consider is having a pair of slaved Behringer MX16's. They are 8 channel rack mixers, and only take up one unit

Yeah I was thinking about that. I think a desktop mixer would suit me better though, nicer to use since you have direct access to the EQ and faders, etc. The behringer stuff is pretty cheap though, the Yamaha MG16/4(no FX) is only ?175 which is also pretty good.

I will need to sort something out soon though, I have not really had the chance to write any music for ages now.
