Default Another new break-beat track online. Ugliop.

Hi Guys,

I got another new break-beat number online. It's along the same lines as "Romlet", for those of you that listened to that one.

Just click the electromancer link in my signature and look for "Ugliop".

Constructive feedback is always welcome!

Great beats, altough they deserve a bit more boooom. The track reminds me a bit of prodigy... the break at 1:25 did not suit the track IMO... I also didn't like the parts where only one layer was playing, way too empty.
The noises were top notch though, great sounddesign!
You should really work on adding more layers to achieve more fullness. Some cool ideas would be lost otherwise.

Wow, that was quick! 5 minutes after writing the post I get a response.

Thanks for the feedback Gen. Appriciate it.

I've been getting right into the sound design recently, so it's nice to hear some positive feedback about that.

I hear what you are saying with the sparsness of the layers, but I wanted this track to fit with some other stuff I have done recently and that meant not making it too dense. A track I'm working on right now though is a different story though.

Thanks again for listening mate. I'll be at work again soon, so I'll have access to the cable to return the favour and listen to yours.

Sounds cool. Love the 'scraping' sounds and the pounding rhythm.

Nice work.

This track is sure is nice, but i would like an really 'boomy'-basskick. You know, "BOOOOOOooooooom". It sure has this paranoid-feel over which i really like since i am paranoid as hell myself. hehe

Like those distorted scratch-sounds and that 'alarm' sound aswell. but add some kicks to the break and this sure is nice, and add some distorted vocals

The bass patch is nice. Very good. Drums are again good. Unfortunately this has too much same elements as your previous track which leads us to the conclusion this sounds very much alike with your other productions. You need to think up something new. Recycling the old tricks can be hazardous.

Mix it to an 175 bpm dnb track!

Thanks for taking the time to listen guys.

Yeh I know what you are saying about the repeditive nature of a few technics there Juho, but I wanted this track to pair up with Romlet. You've heard alot of my stuff which hasn't made it onto Electromancer and you know it's rare for 2 of my tracks to sound similar.

I'm pretty happy with that bass sound myself actually. I've made 3 or 4 in the same kind of style recently.

The bass kick. I wanted the same type of kick in there myself 303, but the bassline took up alot of the low end and my production skill weren't good enough to get a heavy kick to sit properly.

Thanks again for the good feedback guys!
