Default belkin thunderbolt express dock?

The Virus TI wants it's own USB not and does not like my USB hub.

http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F4U055/

Does the Belking thunderbolt Express hub works with the Virus Ti (the first TI model)

Anyone got this or what do you guys think?

Best regards

I answer my own question, I got one now and it is working like a charm with the Virus TI.

Hi dude!
I'm running the late 2013 macbook pro. Have you experienced any issues with the thunderbolt express dock? I am looking forward to buying one myself for the Access Virus TI2 Polar.
Cheers!

I just wish they weren't so expensive for something so simple.

It isn't just a hub, its a separate USB 3 controller sitting on the Thunderbolt bus

So do you have anything else besides the Virus connected to the Belkin Thunderbolt hub? Does the hub create USB ports on the Thunderbolt bus, or does it simply add more ports sharing the same buses on the USB tree?

I've been considering picking up a Belkin Thunderbolt hub, but in my case, I would still need to have two Thunderbolt drives connected to my Thunderbolt bus, and I'm not sure if the Virus would mind sharing. It certainly doesn't like sharing a USB bus.

I've been really disappointed that I haven't been able to take full advantage of the advertised features of a $2000+ synth. The manual says it needs its own USB port, which my set up accommodates. It doesn't say anything about needing its own bus. How have others solved this issue?

(I'm on a 2013 iMac - 2.9 GHZ i5 machine)

It creates more ports. It is a completely separate bus. Thunderbolt (unlike Expresscard) has no USB connections in it.

Others have solved your issue by putting the Virus on a Multi-MTT USB hub.

Thanks…I'll try that.

Back to the Thunderbolt port…If the Thunderbolt port creates a separate bus, would the TI2 have a problem with sharing that bus with two Thunderbolt external drives?

Or perhaps would it be better to move everything that is in conflict with the TI2 to the Thunderbolt hub, theoretically leaving the TI2 on USB bus by itself?

These are fantastic for owning a thunderbolt enabled mini with a cinema display and wanting to daisy chain it to a new thunderbolt display

Thunderbolt is the equivalent of either one or several PCI express slot(s). This device adds the USB ports by adding a PCI express to USB chip. Unless your two thunderbolt drives are enough to fully saturate the Thunderbolt bus (unlikely) then the USB chip and the Virus won't notice the difference.
