Default House music

I'm not being rude, but virtually any synth in the world can write house music! Even one of the first casios could be quite useful.....

I already own an Akai 3000XL sampler...
My next synth will probably be a good old analogue Juno 106 as it was recommended on several other forums... and it is Daft Punk's favourite one
After that I will look for a SN II.
tnx guys...

Nord 2 with good outboard effects or JP8000. Both are sensible purchases IMHO

Default Synth for house?

Wait a sec.. someone said "don't buy a virus".

Why not? You can make the virus sound like pretty much anything out there.. it's a PHAT synth.

Since you're in a virus group, I'm presuming you already own a virus. If you use only the stock sounds (patches) on a synth, you may never come up with any original sounds.. tweak 'em.. love 'em.. CREATE. You _do_ wanna come up with original music don't you?

I'm looking into getting a second hand JP8080 when I get back from my Hawaii vacation in May, but who knows maybe i'll have the TI waiting for me when I get back and will be to busy indulging in it's greatness .

I owned an EMU Orbit 9090. Sold it because it can?t do trancy stuff. I thought I would keep it if I would make house.

Great for basses and pads. Really deep machine (or something). Some famous house producers still use it. A bit old fashioned thou. But cheap. Check it out.
