Default Nordlead2 and Virus C sound good together?

I was playing around yesterday layering the Nord and the VC and I thought you guys might want to hear the results.

Go to the Soundclick link in my signature and listen to "Nord and Virus C layered in unison". Be sure to turn the volume down the first listen as these are quite aggressive sounds!

I just played one sound from the Nord and one sound from the VC from the same midi channel.

There are some out-board FX, but most of the FX are from the VC. I actually set it up so the nord would partially go through the VC from a send on the desk too (only some sounds though).

Enjoy.

P.S. These sounds are for the darker more harsh side of music.

Yeah, It doesn't sound too bad does it.

Screaming FM from the nord, with smooth filters from the VC.

Seriously cool sounds! The first sound is awesome. Would be great in an industrial metal track!

Ive always thought that the Nords and Virus sound well together. The Virus has the darkness and the Nord has the hard bright edge.

Actually I also think the N3 goes really well with the Virus. If I had the money I would have kept the N3.

Did u run any of these sounds through ur amp warmer?

Nice sounds BTW

No I didn't run them through the valve pre (like I normally do with bass), but I did use some Vintage warmer (plug-in) at the mastering stage.

Thanks!

DO those kind of plug in really make much difference?

Does it not just muddy up the sound?
