Default Teach me about Virus|HC

Hey gang,

I've got a Virus TI2 and Ableton Live 10, and recently I've rebuilt my studio to accommodate some other gear. In the past, I've had nothing but headaches using the Virus TI plugin within Live - sync errors, audio dropouts, clicks and pops, you name it, it's all killed my creative inspiration. I've literally sold and bought back my Virus twice because I just couldn't stay away from those awesome oscillators and filters, but no matter what I try it just doesn't want to get along with Live.

In the interest of preventing these inspiration-killing headaches going forward, I want to approach the Virus differently. I have MysteryIslands' Virus|HC MIDI plugin, but I've never fully been able to wrap my head around it. I mean, I know how it works, but last time I tried to deploy it I had a really hard time finding, loading and saving my patches to/from my existing patchbanks on my computer.

Can you show me how this is done? I have TONS of patchbanks to use, and previously the frustrating TI plugin was the only efficient way to load and save patches, but like I said it's not worth it for the headache it causes. Any help you can offer is hugely appreciated - in return I may be able to share some patchbanks with you.

Thanks for your time. Here's some gearporn; the newest additions to the studio are the MPC2000XL (fully expanded with the FX and eight output cards) and the Focusrite OctoPre.
