So does the supplier buy from Access, or do Access ship, and then recieve money when the products sell?
Either way, if it is what we suspect, it is criminal

Sheesh...relax. My CC company (MBNA) calls it "ShopSafe". They let you generate a card number/exp/CVC2 from their website mapped to your account that (a) works with only one vendor and, (b) has a limited life span. This way, if the vendor's db gets snatched the info won't be useful for anyone else.
All I was complaining about was that the number I generated is only good for so long (four months), and if there is a significant delay in delivery it might expire. Don't worry -- I'm in debt like everyone else, and everybody gets paid.
(...and if the reader expended the energy to search for "temporary credit card numbers" on google, they'd get something like this: http://www.google.com/search?q=tempo...t+card+numbers ...)

Back to the topic, anyone heard of MAP?
Here's Audiomidi.com take on the price jump
Quote:
What is MAP? Some manufacturers impose a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy on their authorized dealers that limit them from advertising their on-line price below MAP. Bottom line, more often than not, there is a better price than the MAP.
|
Their desktop price of the TI is 1,895.00
My pre-order with them was 1,595.00
I suspect the MAP is the extra money here, what do you guys think?
