Default Mastering sound tracks

Hello Guys
i am working on the new song and it sounds pretty good in my home studio(Absolute Zero to monitor) but when i play it in my car sounds like s**t.Track is not very loud, sound is not FULL all around and most of it comes from the front speakers. What can i do to improve this or which plug ins use to correct this problem.I am using Cubase 5/32 and Wavelab.

take care

Waves L2 Ultramaximizer does a pretty good job, but use it sparingly, unless you want a squashed track.

i use the waves stuff too....but over using of compressors/maximisers to raise volume can result in losing dynamics.....

how about uploading your track so we can have a listen?

I used to have the Waves Ultramaximiser and thought it did a really good job, that was on my old PC though and I've since lost the disk it was on But Waves Optimiser which comes with Waves DSP effects is really good as well.

I usually drive wide frequency spectrum tracks through four area compressor and basses and other simple tracks through simple compressor. Then I just add L2 that the track is squashed just a bit. This way the mix is good and clear (also remember to use panning and spare reverb).
