Default Mirwais Bass Sound

Hey all!

Not a huge request - or a necessary one - but I love the bass tone on Mirwais - Disco Science.

Gonna mess around with it whenever my Virus feels like coming back to life.

Anyone have any ideas on how its achieved?

Discus!!

Great track to enjoy also.

i would definitely like any info on mirwais' production techniques. i know he favors the korg prophet (featured prominently on american life) but aside from that i have been unable to decipher his sounds. that bass tone has so much breath to it. i agree that it's worth figuring out how he came to it...

i still haven't figured it out but i did find a great article @ remixmag.com about mirwais' production methods/kit. just google 'mirwais synth' and you'll get a mess of great links. It looks as though he's leaning pretty hard on the nord lead for his bass tones.
