Smile Noise & Crackle when playing sounds

Hi everyone,

I am new here and hope to explain things properly.

I have a VIRUS TI Desktop, RME Fireface 400, Macbook Pro, Logic Pro 9.1.8.

I run the Virus via USB into the computer.

Every sound I play comes out with a noise and crackle which keeps going for a few seconds after the sound has stopped.

I have uploaded a file test here for you to have a listen to, so you know what I mean. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?lyjeto35fe32xa7

I have tested it with headphones (not through the soundcard) and it still does it. I have also tried with another soundcard, a MOTU Ultralite, and it still didn't fix it.
I have tried to open the VIRUS in ABleton, and the noise is still there, so it is definitely a problem with the VIRUS.

At this stage I cannot get any work done because the sounds that come out of the VIRUS are like corrupted, so need this fixed ASAP.

Hope someone can help

Thanks you

Ckd

Hi there,
I couldn't hear anything in the uploaded file, might be my computer.
But yes, this problem is very widespread, and there are people who could fix that, and there were people who couldn't (like me).
The best thing to try is connecting the virus to an usb port, with and without an USB hub, and changing the buffer in Logic (Somewhere in the audio preferences). Don't plug the virus into a hub when there's another device on that hub. Try different USB cables. Try updating to the newest official software release.
If all else fails, use DIN midi, Analog audio and forget the total integration. You still have a gorgeous sounding synth, then
