when recording to digital, the most prominant part we hear is the very loudest part. Here, the audio is crystal clear. The rest of the sound (TEXTURE) is not captured so well when recording to digital formats... This is not the same with analogue formats. The very loudest sounds sometimes seem saturated (Mmm....tape saturation!) and the middle/lower parts seem most defined (TEXTURE) Im not saying digital formats dont capture this. Im saying Analogue captures it better Im not sure what you meant by 'word swapping'.....
