On my system, I have:

USB port 1: Keyboard with 2 usb ports - one for my mouse, the other for my SX3 dongle.

USB port 2: Printer

USB port 3: Broadband Modem

USB port 4: TI

I can successfully use my TI with all of these components simultaneously.

i'm not following.... you mean hook your midi interface up to your keyboard?(not synth-- but computer keyboard)??
Currently a wireless mouse's dock is connected to it'w own usb2 port. So is the keyboard. Logic dongle and midi interface are connected to the keyboard's usb hub and they work very well. I was just wondering, if I added a TI to the system and gave it a separate usb2 port, would things work or not...

Thanks Ben for the reply. How have people connected their TI's if the usb midi interfaces stop working?

the usb connection hasn't been working well at all for me, so i've been reduced to having to use it's regular MIDI ports. still, even with this, i'm getting drop outs, clicks, no notes sounding, midi log-jam, frozen re-boots and more drama that i can list--- so many things go wrong that i don't know how to articulate it in a concise posting...

this unit is going back.
