Smile New Track-Hocus Pocus

Hi all
I'm just finishing up a project I did with a new collaborator Filip Konecny called Hocus Pocus. It's a summery trancey groover that I thought you might be interested in. It's pretty long at 10.30 so I've just put up a short 4 min extract on http://www.myspace.com/thedjberni Let me know what you think.

I REALLY like that!

Also, I like 'I Think We're Dead' most out of your other stuff, nice bit of dubstep business. Dub Trip 88 - does that have a sample from Massive Attack's Protection...?

LOL@'I Think We're Dead' track....had a mate who once thought he was going 6 foot under after some of the same cooked in olive oil and mixed with yogurt.

Nearly had us calling for the medics. After an hour of cooling down and reassurance he described the sensation as if he'd been abducted and taken into space....lol evil weed

Anyway like the trance track and the Dub 88 definately has a Massive Attack vibe going on.

Good luck with it all

Peace

Thanks for the cool comments. The sample is from 'blue lines' but I'm pretty sure Massive Attack sampled it from someone else. They where huge samplists back in the day.

Yep they were...come from Bristol (UK) just up the road from here...same as Portishead.

Its not the samples its what you do with them that count but then we know that

You mean like taking a well known sample & chopping it up then re-arranging it to create a new groove that sounds like the original but doesn't all at the same time
