In some tracks you hear for the intro they put the drums through a filter, resonace etc, and slowly unleash until it is sounding "Normal"....
Im not much of a synth buff, but you can just run the drums through the Virus, and use the filter/cutoff/resonance and fuck with it It might sound cool?
