The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

Subtractor sure is weak, but if you combine a couple of them add alot of effects and you got something that sounds like an early casio home-'synthesizer'.

nah, but i do like the malstr?m-synth.

NNXT

The only thing I use in Reason. Great , powerful sampler - and I can record it into tracks in Live using rewire. Perfect for drums. And capable of very deep layered regions for drums - and an alternate button that will randomly pick between multiple samples layered on the same note. I gots my Roland Octapad midied to that - beautiful, and low in the CPU.

I don't think the new combinator is boring in anyway. Add 10 Malstr?m-synth's, some effects and you'll get a really nice sounding 'new' synth. Scream 4 destruction is one of the nicest features in Reason and i haven't still found any vsti that can do the same thing and sound like it.

Scream, NNXT and the malstr?m is my favourites in Reason
