Default Anyone known of any good resources for learning synthesizers?

So being an enthusiastic synth novice, I find myself often getting a little stuck or confused on some of the concepts and terminology.

Does anyone know of any good books or websites out there that are designed to be comprehensive tutorials or beginners manuals on synthesis?

I've been kinda just flying by the seat of my pants and picking up on tips and tricks in the forums, but I have a feeling that all the so called "synth experts" didn't get to where they are from tweaking knobs and reading stuff online.

Surely there is some kind of all-you-need-to-know synth bible out there?

Or at least a synth Torah, maybe even Qu'ran? Whatever works and is the least controversial.

Those are some good resources. Also Simon Cann has some books available like "becoming a synth wizard".

If you click on How to Make a Noise and drill down a couple of times, you can get a free eBook copy of it e-mailed to you.
