Hey Keithie_Boy!

Can you give us a run down of what you used in the making of these tracks.

As far as commenting goes, I think there is something wrong with the rhythm components of the tracks. The drums really tend to take a back seat, is this on purpose??? I feel like the tracks dont have enough drive or energy due to this problem.

Hope Im not coming off too harsh, this is supposed to be constructive criticism, but sometimes tone is hard to get right via internet forums...

The good thing is that you are making tracks (unlike me!!!) so keep it up mate.

P.S how long you been making dance music???

hey, thanks for the help - i think its great to get some constructive help

on second listen i agree its a little weak on the drums side. think i was focusing a little too much on the lead sound at the time.

ive been making dance music for about two weeks lol! wasnt meaning to make a dance track at all, but the riff only sounded right when i put the electric drums to it. i play keyboards and sing in a celtic rock band so this is me just trying something different.

im using softsynths and samplers for nearly everything. mainly colossus, NI's komplete (fm7 and PRO-53 for the synth, and the vocoder on 'dont cry tears') and korgs polysix. all the strings and drums are from colossus and the piano in 'fiona' is direct from my new M-audio prokeys 88

i would have used my virus KC on some tracks but its usually with my band gear either at a hall or stored in my garage and my studio is in a loft. hence why softsynths are handy
