Default Sneak Preview...

Been a while since I posted my crap, so thought I'd give you all a look at what Im working on at the moment...

Im co-producing/mixing an album for a friend of mine, kinda latin-electronica fusion, with some experimental vocal stuff too. This particular track sounds more "Regaeton" than anything. It is a song about the fella that was shot down in London after the bombings.

Anyways, you can listen to the track HERE

I cant really tell you about the sounds, as they were all recorded at a different studio... I only started mixing today, so it is far from finished, but any comments on mixing would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Jase

Cheers for listening mate!!!

It's a funny little track...it has really grown on me! And the subject matter (even though I dont understand Spanish) is cool. I should get him to translate, as I think it is very much politically motivated

i realy hate that specific drum pattern\rythem.

other then that i would try biffin' up the drum sounds some more,it sounds a bit splash all over the place and not realy punchy and percise, spacialy in the lower end.

Yah, it is a bit wierd. Apparently this kind of rhythm is the rage across Latin America, and is creeping into Latin communities in the US too. The style is called "Regaeton" or something...

It takes a while to get used to...

I agree, the drums are weak, but I think it is this weakness, or roughness that makes this track work a little. The drums are not really important, it is the energy and vibe, and of course subject matter.

The other thing is, all audio was supplied to me, so none of the sounds I can really change, and I dont want to waste time re-doing things too much. I have been re-doing synth sounds, and I will be re-doing alot of the vocals...

Thanks for listening Tomer, appreciate the feedback as always!!!!

Thanks mate! I dont understand a word either (except in the chorus-"No, dont you lie, I know you just want to shoot right now" )

I think the beginning he saying something about the police coming to get you, maybe there is a Spanish speaking member who can translate???

Thanks for the feedback!!!
