Default Novation SupernoveII vs Yamaha Motif

I got a Novation SupernovaII and I was thinking about trading it for a Yamaha Motif (New One). Anyone have an opinion on this? Is this a bad move?

Thanks
Tom

Hmm... Maybe, maybe not. How much you could get from that Supernova 2?

Default well.................

IM primareley making Trance music. I really like some of the patches on the Motif, there newer sounding and fresh. I have a Virus KC & a JP8000 also and was thinking since I already have 2 other Trance Keyboards maybe go for something new?. Is the Motif expandable? Is the rack the same as the keyboard as far as sounds?

Thanks
]Tom

It eats PLG boards and it has sampling option. Ok synth. Some samplings are not-so-good, but good average sounds in general. You should also check out Fantom-S. You can get one of those bloody cheap nowadays. It has about the same specs than basic Motif, but it has better sounds than Motif in my opinion. Try it out and choose the one you like.

Absolutely not!
I've got a Virus and an yamaha EX5 (predecessor of the motif), and I probably wouln't change my EX to a supernova. (maybe I would just because it's worth more cash, but then I had sold the supernova and bought the motif instead). I think that one VA + a proper workstation is much better than just two VAs.
