There is a knob-by-knob demonstration of how to recreate a hoover patch in the virus programming guide.

Hi folks!
Having just spotted and read this thread i thought i`d have a go at a Hoover sound as i love rave & hh music. I`m into all kinds actually but i gave it a shot and have recorded around 4 different hoover patches but unfortunately i have nowhere to host the file
I tried to host it on my bt webspace but they only allow public access for low quality images *dont ask cos i dont know *

Made on a virus classic btw.

You can set something up quite easily.....

Soundclick

or....

Tripod

Soundclick is the easier option, Tripod will let you build a little website too, and all for free!

No excuses now.....lets hear those Hoovers!!!!!

Thanks for the ideas Jasedee
Ok here it is. Had probs uploading anything to the first of your suggestions so went with the dreaded tripod. I think the mp3 is only around 600kb in size and consists of 3 different patches.

It may be of interest to note that none of those patches use `unison`

Just had a listen to them, they hoover !

Could do with beefing up but I guess you can do that by adding Unison.

How did you make thee hoover sweep please ?

Seems to be a problem with that link......

You may need to "publish" the site. It is an option at the bottom of the site builder page.

edit: OK I 'right' clicked and D/L'd the MP3.....Cool sound. Very rave/techno/hardcore. Im not really sure of the sound you based the idea on, but im sure you have done a good job in replicating it.

Sorry guys it seems that in their infinite wisdom, the muppets at tripod have removed the file for some reason.

I`ll try soundclick again later if i have time
