Supersaw WAVs at www.pdc.me.uk/Virus/JP8080-SuperSaw.Zip
I don't remember the original source of these. A German site I think...

Thanks.

Hmm... That's quite sharp. At least it sounds sharp with these headphones. I'd say use three oscillators with heavy detune and twin unison. Add some constant phaser (depth to zero and adjust frequency and add positive feedback to get that phaserish sharpness).

I have tried all that b4 juho and u can get close but cant get the action of it because the jp80XX is only using the osc and the virus is using the whole synth in conjunction to make that sound...so the action when playing makes it sound different...plus the plain saw sound is different in my opinion...

peace

Hi tomer=trance. I'll try this evening to recreate a supersaw patch on my NM. How do I send the patch to this forum?

The jp 8000 is not as dirty and gritty as the virus but definetly alot thicker and cleaner!!

what it boils down to is different machines have different qualities.

of course you can get close, but on any machine it's going to take alot more work than on a jp.

ipaqlinux48, you cant actually upload an mp3/wave file to the forum. if you want to show the patch in an audio format, you must first upload the sound to a free mp3 hosting site, then link us to that site here.

why don't u try to use the 3oscs+heavy detune for oscs2&3+unison+phaser then use the same patch on 2 different parts with the same midi channel (like layering the same sound) and then fully detune them... may be you'll get a bit closer than with 1 part.... but be careful of loosing polyphony...

basically, if u try this, u will be working with 20voices only (osc3 will eat 2x6 voices), than for every key you press, you'll loose 2x2 voices instead of 1 (2xUNISON)
