Default well im surprised!

so with the advent of 1.05 i decided it was time to give the desktop ti a try.
took it out of the box..and decided to check out how it sounds with some
headphones and a midi cable.
sounds nice..as i expected it would.some sounds brought a smile to my face.

i did experience some crackling.

decided to install the software and update the firmware and try out the usb connection.

after a few attempts the install and upgrade went well.not sure what the problem was but i kept changing what usb port i was using and it finally worked.

loaded nuendo 3.1 and started the plugin and the whole thing bursts into flames...... 8O

:P

no it actually behaved quite nicely. it played well with my creamware
pulsar card..also with my waldorf microwave pc.
im not using it for my soundcard but i am using the usb midi and audio

i have my controller plugged(midi) into the virus.i also can plug my controller to my midi interface and it works that way to...configuring from the sequencer

not sure which would be better.....?

anyway in a basic production enviorment it performed well.
no latency issues.no crackling,no harsh noises. arps were tight.

am experiencing one strange thing...on some patches it seems the velocity
is weird..if i hit the note hard it is silent soft it is loud?
also when this is happening the softknobs( 3 knobs below the display)
keep scrolling through there different possible controls??
seems dependant on my poly pressure but not sure...

apart from that seems to be working very well..

well i had my doubts with the whole 96k thing and am happy to say that it works!
my motherboard has 2 usb root hubs and i am using the virus on one all by itself....

So i will be keeping this very nice addition to my setup.
it sounds great.
im sure il find a few little things with further use...but the core is solid
and those little things can always be tweaked.

It's nice to read something positive from you

Too bad we had to wait 75 posts

I don't mean to start a war anyway...But great to see that you seem to enjoy the product

if you read my posts...
apart from the ones concerning a certain person.(which were totaly merited)
they werent all that negative.
most of my problem was that no one was answering my 32/96k question.
1.05 improved everything i think...

The Virus uses Poly Pressure commands for controlling half of the parameters (this is since the Virus A). Since barely anyone uses it, they figured it a pretty neat way of adding another 128 parameters that could be controlled by midi.

I guess this is what you are inadvertently doing..

Ahhhh....
See, warm and fuzzy, just like I was saying in that other thread.

But still every single one of you are low-life cunts!
