Default Roland SH-32

Hi all,

I am tinkering with the idea of picking up one of these little synths (I currently own a Virus RackXL and Motif Rack) and thought that I would seek some input/advice from my fellow virus addicts.

I have scrolled through dozens of user reviews and it seems that for the price (US$200 NEW!), you cant really go wrong with this synth. Im sure that in terms of sound designing and overall quality, the Virus wins hands down, but for ease of use and instant accessability (not to mention the fun factor), the SH-32 seems like a nice option.

Am I merely trying to feed my hunger for all things audio? Or is the price point of this synth too good to pass up?

Cheers,

Jason

Yes you are, but what's wrong with that?

I have heard a few mixed responses about that synth. I don't know about it in detail.

As you said though, good price.

I think people are saying that it is not a real VA, but rather a digital sounding synth, and others are saying that it does replicate older classic analogue synths quite faithfully.

Jasedee, I got a newone for $200.00.
You can't go wrong with the price.
I bought this for the zupr saw. it has tons of efx, comprsr, chrs, delys, revrbs, flangrs, slicers, lofi around 40 of them as inserts. 2osc with lot of variations(all 67 wavforms in 2osc are samples) , 2subs, subsonic mode for subass, 2lfo with lot of waveforms, plenty of sliders, lpflt, hp, bp,peakflts. prog arps. decent presets.
lot of cool 909 and 808 sounds i like it. Again 32 voice poly.
I was kind of embarassed when i went to get sh32 while having the G2, but this one is worth every penny. Again i need all your support in prayer for that bloody os x editor and v1.2 for G2. Damn delays.
