Default how to record virus CC in cubase

recording pitch or mod from my keyboard isnt a problem - i can see the data in the controller window in cubase too. (a sinus like wave).

when i turn some pots on the virus i see a midi in signal (red light blinking) but i cant record the signal in cubase.

i've gone through all the options in the drop down list (controller 44 - 109) but there it's all empty. :-(

and how does cubase know the cc data is f.e. cutoff 1 and not cutoff 2, must i programm this in cubase or what?

thanks for your help!

dries

its right in the manuel,i had the same "problem"
you need to go to the manu page and set page up from sysex to contrl or something like that
same with page down
its all in the manual i dont remember exacly
and you also need to go to the cubase prefs and tell it not to filter midi and sysex data.

Check the midi preference filter, you've probably set it up to filter out sysex messages (which I think the knob-turning data is to Cubase and not CC)

yes..fyi all the virus knobs are cc's, not sysex...

u should never have to turn off the sysex record filter to record virus knobs.

cheers
