Default clipping

does anyone of you know if it is possible to control the max. volume output, so no sound clipping occurs. a kind of limiter also.

this clipping sounds realy nasty in general and esp. on the virus - and some sounds differ in volume pretty heavily when using the filters.

:?:

tnx

in the edit manu you will find the main output volume
change it to 100
also notice that in some havey unisoned sounds (5-6 for say)
it will also clip if the part volume is too high
just look at your audio in meter and adjust

did i help you with what you wanted? or did i get your question wrong?

tnx, but i know the "master volume" pot and settings for a while ;-D

the problem is that i can set this to about 80, but by f.e. changing the filters, audio get to loud so clipping occurs. only thing i can do about until now is adjusting the master volume all the time - and that nerves a bit.

Patch Volume is the parameter you want to be adjusting here - a useful tip is to go to set SYSTEM>LedMode to Output1. Now the LEDs will flash repeatedly when the signal is clipping.

i myself used to keep all my hardware master knobs all the way up, or 3/4....never really gave it a lot of thought...but lately i just started noticing in pictures of people's gear they were keeping everything at 50%.

f'n brilliant! all my masters at %50 from here on out!

much less clipping..

cheers!
