Default cubase sx cc for "C"

I know it has been asked many times & someone always says do a search. Well I can't find it anywhere. I am looking for a midi controller cc guide for cubase sx because the one in the book does not always correlate. If there is some other option I would appreciate some help,. If anyone says read the manual STOP IT!!! I have read the Access virus user manual many times & the Howard Scarr guide even more. It is just one of those things I just can't get sorted out, kinda like soundiver. Someone should add it to the common asked questions. Thanks alot

What do you want to do with the MIDI controller? Control the mixers? Use SX as controller for Virus? Control the VSTi's?

Easy as apple pie:

You look up in the midi controller list(in the virus manual, damn i'm evil to ya) and find out the number of the controller you want do automate in SX.
Then you go to SX and in the midi editor(the one with the piano roll) you just go to the bottom and choose the number of the controller...there might stand something like "breath" or something instead of the number but you can count what number it is from the other numbers.

Understandable?

I dont blame ya if you dont

Are you sure what you are saying is accurate. If I run midi out from my virus say tweaking the env. amount are you sure those #'s are correct if I start counting down from the list of controllers that cubase gives. I do not think this is correct.

Goto www.access-music.de and in the Misc. Downloads section there is a picture of the Virus B's CC assignments.

To get you started, here are a few I know:

40 - Filter 1 Cutoff
41 - Filter 2 Cutoff
42 - Res (When Filter 1 or both are active)
43 - Res (When only Filter 2 is active)

54 - Filter Attack
55 - Filter Decay
56 - Filter Sustain
58 - Filter Release (57 is time)

59 - Attack
60 - Decay
61 - Sustain
63 - Release (62 is time)

Hope this helps you out a little.

Yes butt there are well over 60 cc destinations that the virus can receive & my list only has like 60 total #'s & words. Is there a patch to configure this in cubase so the correct destination names show up in cubase?

It's a pain in the ass every time I want to automate a controller I have to look in the back of the book or what I have been doing is send midi out & record that controller in cubase then tweak it the way I want, then back into the virus. Can those cc names be changed in cubase?

I just hit record and push the button or tweak the knob i want to automate and voila! Now the controller i wanted to automate appears in the list of controllers with an asterix (*)...

Edit: of course it would be easier if you could load the CC# names so that they match the Virus. Tell me if you find out how...
