Default Problem with Multi/Sequencer mode -TI KB

Hi.

I'm having a bit of a problem with multi mode and sequencer mode. When I go into these modes there always seems be a 'init' patch there making a basic synth sound. Only one part in multi mode is ok, part 3. I have just discovered sequencer mode today, and seeing that I want to sequence the TI from an MC 909 thought it was the answer to all my prayers, but when I choose a patch sound for MIDI channel 1 this 'init' sound is there too, its in all the 16 sequencer parts, even when I choose a patch it plays 'init' and whatever patch I've chosen. too.

I'm beginning to think my TI is bust

I'm not sure what OS I have as well as I only just recently bought the TI second hand from someone.

How do you check the OS version? I'm tempted to update to the latest OS3 to see if this sorts it.

....or is it just my stupidness?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Warren.

Well I tried resetting the Virus and now sequencer mode seems to be working fine now. Haven't tried multi mode yet.

How do you go about checking the OS v. of the virus ti?

When you first turn on the virus it will give you the OS number.
