Hey, colour LCD - what are you talking about?
I didnt mean that - how are they going to program
the colors?

No, fancy LCD graphics in black & gray is what i mean...
And when i talk about inverting the colors as a
sign of Sticky Shift active i meant like gray & black instead.

Yeah whatever, I want a colour LCD in the next model

I agree that waveform and parameter visualizations are great. It's easier to program sounds if you can also see what's happening to the sound. I like that feature in Andromeda. That synth also has so many parameters that you could easily ruin an LFO modulating something if you didn't see the waveform. If you want, you can make the andro's lfo waveform clip. That's something you couldn't read from the numbers. I guess you cannot make the lfo clip with virus but it would still be great to see what's happening.

However, the Virus control software seems to have this kind of interface, so maybe Access have thought it's enough and everybody is controlling their TI's with the software via usb. Of course that's not always the case. If I bought a TI, I wouldn't use the usb.

This is pinched from a suggestion on ampfea, but it's such a cool idea...

Stick shift doesn't have a time out, but simply inverts the LCD display, so you easily know you're in shift mode.

There is a little up arrow in the bottom right had corner when you press shift. That's if you're not in any edit mode.

You mean bypassing the need for the hardware? I hope that's not going to happen.

Easily done with many free VST Hosts. Check KVRAudio.com for tons of these. Even top Stand-Alone synths are wrapped in a small VSTI host... ie... Steinbergs HALion, NI B4, etc.....
