For those of you whose first question is "who is that"?

Some of the Halucinogen stuff is great. Any specific kind of sound you are looking for? Maybe name a track and time or upload a short clip of a sound you would like to program...

Red face Simon...

Huge fan here. One of my favorite acts is Shpongle for sure. His Hallucinogen stuff got me into the entire genre of psychedelic trance. So alluring and perplexing. I spoke with him last year about his process at great length. He has quite a very outboard manipulation devices he likes. His go to piece for inspiration is his Morpheus. It get's him out of a bind whenever he's trying to tweak the mind out. In other words, you can morph between different sounds and vary the balance of the morph between these sounds. Go from analog drones that fade into high strings, or start with a gated flute and that might turn into a BP sawtooth squelch or stop somewhere in the middle and fool the ears into thinking your losing your mind... He does that a lot.

Halluniogen has not matured like a lot of the other acts out there though. He has stayed steadfast with his sound, which is undeniably his own. Sometimes I wish he would back off on the extremely complex textures and rhythms and give the people who have been listening to him for a while, something refreshing... I love his music and his personality which shines through in his performances. He is a player though... He's a heartbreaker alright... He'd probably deny it.

Enough ranting and raving....

Morpheus, is that the Emu module Morpheus? Is that the same Z-plane filters as the Proteus 2000 (and all the sound modules and command stations built around this)? I´ve got to play more with my XL-7...

Talking I'm Shpongled, you will be too.

Check out all of these videos of Simon in action.
I shot this all myself and then uploaded to youtube.
The show was at The Fenix in Seattle in June.
Psy all night long from 9pm-4am yum yum.

A Virus can make some of the sounds you hear in hear
in Simons music but most of the time what you hear is Nord.
And just so you know when it came time to drop the cheese
I bought Access not the N synth brand >

simon posford is a genius who has grown leaps and bounds since he began.

if you think he sounds the same on his first hallucinogen record compared to, say, his new track "shabby trance", then your smoking crack.

if you think the first shpongle record sounds like the new shpongle record, then again, you are smoking crack.

simon posford could destroy the world if music was a weapon. haha.

sorry... we (radioactive sandwich) love simon... not only are his skills untouchable, but he's also a really nice guy...

he's a big influence on what we write and the skills we strive to attain.

if you don't know shpongle, hallucinogen, celtic cross, younger brother, or any of the other projects simon is associated with, you're missing out on some of, if not THE best electronic music ever created.
