Default Chicane

Chicane, one of the best producers alive, in my opinion!

Is it possible to recreate some of synth lead/pads he's used, such as the synths used here (in the breakdown from 0:54 onwards): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkFWSGGmAP8 on my TI?

Any help would be great!

I'm sure the lead is either something off the Roland JV or the Nord but, you could get it on the Virus sure. Try a narrow pulse width with no modulation on one oscillator and a sawtooth mixed in. Drop the cutoff down and apply an envelope on the cutoff with low decay to give you that pluck string feel. Maybe after try a little amount of velocity controlling the cutoff opening a bit more on the harder notes to give it some movement.

I was wondering if you guys knew what he did to process Bryan Adam's vocals for the kinda ethereal sound they have. I think I'm hearing a lot of reverb and layering with maybe some filtering on the different layers but, in al honesty I know basically nothing about effects and vocal processing.

He used the Orange Vocoder from Prosoniq on the vocals.
