so when fully opened digital filters tend to not influence the oscilators sound at all and in analog you still have some influence?

If you use a LP filter with max cutoff you can change the sound by turning up the resonance. So the oscillators still runs thru the filter, even at max cutoff.

Certainly, the new LP Analog filters in the Virus C affect the signal, even when fully open and with no resonance. A sine wave is significantly altered in particular - I guess it's to do with the embedded saturation.
