Default Searching for a Virus sounddesigner who wants to earn some extra cash...

Hi,

There are a lot of Virus Soundbanks available for sale on the internet. De price varies from €20,- to €35,- but these soundsets do not contain the (hardstyle) sounds I am looking for:

http://youtu.be/Me5s1v5bs7c (@01:05 and another example @03:07)

and

http://youtu.be/iUKCUOnANso (@0:44)

and

http://youtu.be/NajWZCikOhI (@1:58 )

I hope there's a member here who CAN reproduce the sounds above. I am willing to pay for it, like the same way someone buys an other soundset from the internet.

Please let me know if you are interested!
Thank you.

A little patience, I've just changed, my studio is still in boxes right now. I'll take a look at it as soon as I get things set, ok? On the mean time, keep on trying dude.

You could always contact Adam Szabo aka Adam Van Baker to see if he wants to take on a freelance challenge. He has a Virus and is one of the better EDM sound designers IMO, and has written a plugin that imitates the Virus phaser effect. His website is here: http://www.adamszabo.com. I could recommend some other sound designers that have crazy talent but he's the only one I know for sure that is into programming the Virus.

I personally think it's fairly easy to create hardstyle lead sounds like that with any synth, it's just that I don't think for any amount of money I would take on a freelance gig to do a specific sound, because it seems to me to very hard to get that exact sound the customer wants. Plus as a software architect, you don't want to know my rates and as a sound designer I'm not a pro. Also a lot of times the way a sound hits the ear in a track is very different than how it sounds in isolation, so coming out of this with a happy customer seems like a longshot. Good luck.

Indeed, the mix is like half of the magic in most sounds people are looking for. For example, no synthesizer is going to pull out the kind of bass you get in pro tracks. A part of it is the sound design of course, but then there's a great deal of processing going on to make it sit just right in the mix - and this and that. And that's the same for leads.

And you shouldn't be obsessed with getting the exact same sound. You can get close to it, learn the fundamentals of how to build such sounds, explore variations of it, so forth and so on. Your own take on mixing and composition will give your sound its signature and ultimately will be what sets you apart from the competition.

Back on topic now, I think I can probably take a shot at it this next week, and you don't need to pay. I don't think so much of myself that I'd charge you for some sound I've programmed. cheers
