"Damn good" and "analog" doesn't fit in the same sentence.

If you want damn good "fake" piano you need a software sampler or a stage piano.

If you don't need piano very often and don't play keys I'd recommend soft sampler (NI Kontakt is nice and you get a decent piano on the Kontakt CD's).

Also "piano emulation" and "damn good piano" doesn't fit in the same sentence.

yep, samplers are the way to go for real intrustment emulation...IMO too..

i notice you dont have a sampler in your kit list djtommy...it might be worth your while grabbing one, instead of getting a new keyboard only for piano sounds...

just a thought

The Virus can make some great sounding piano's, for an V/A.

But I also recommend Kontakt.

Sound slike the First Grand hammer piano from the 1600's.
Well you're probably talking about harpsichord and I think the poster needs a modern piano. You really can't get damn good piano with VA. You can get a damn good piano for VA standards, but not for general standards.

I think DjTommyBoy needs a decent piano which is easily achieved with a simple sampler program (ting-ting-ting-ting piano chords, right?). I think he's not going to compose a complex piano piece which need accurate piano sampling.
