I love the lead sound that comes in at 0:42! Any tips on how you made it? Please? :)
G??. It's an ordinary Moog lead. Just LPF on one or two saws.

Default Samantha Fox Remix Contest

Hey people

Nice to see a virus message board here!

I found this contest by accident and I'm sure it's long over by now. However, I did a little snippit of the mix anyhow, just for fun. Took me about 2 hours to do what I've done. Fun.. that's why any of us do this stuff, right ?

It's just another take on the track.. I love the variations that got posted.
I'm into house and dance music, so this is what I came up with.

Comments welcome, of course; post for all to see.

Details for anyone curious:

-Sequenced in Cubase VST PC.
-Recorded through a Beringer Eurodesk 32 channel board.
-All synth sounds are from the Access Virus C desktop.
-Soundcard is a M-Audio Delta 44 PCI.
-Midi is via a M-Audio USB MidiSport 4x4
-Kick is compressed outboard using a DBX project 1.
-Vocal (filtered) samples are on a K2000 RS, as are all percussion sounds.
-Entire Mix EQ'd, compressed, normalized and mp3'd in Wavelab 3.0.

Thanks.. this was fun.

~Welcome Ti Planet Virus~

Glad u came on board for the Remix project. It wasnt really too sucessful, these other lazy members are all too busy (But I reckon scared, just between u and me )

Anyways, I thought ur track was cool....I really liked the intro, and the vocals sounded awesome! Great to have someone with some enthusiasm here, maybe we can get these other mutinous dogs to stop tickling their nuts......

Cool tune!

This Beta one's remix sounds nicely fat. Yay! Very good overall sound. I like it. Although it seems to end too soon. What a shame. I'd really like to hear the whole thing.

Default beta one remix

Hey everyone

Thanks.. glad you like what's happened with it thus far..
I only did about 2 minutes of the track cuz I didn't wanna spend too much time on it, but wanted you all to hear the sort of stuff I do with _my_ Virus

I think I'd only ever really _fully_ produce it if the intention was to get it released properly; just that there's a lot of work and production involved in getting a track to where i'd consider it 'release material' .

Else.. I may yank out the vocals and write a new original song around it; using a similar chord structure.

I love this.. keep chattin, guys.. also.. let's see your studios..hear some of your other work!

beta one... out.
