Yup. That HW thing is just piece of junk that's almost completely useless.

it is merely a novelty item.....a toy. I agree, completely unplayable!

How does that MS-20-ish controller compare to a Micro-korg? Anybody played both?

I spent 40 minutes or so yesterday with a Micro-korg.
This was a shop demo Micro-korg and it had taken a hiding! I should have taken a picture of it. Dents, scratches, the mic looked like it had been folded 100 times, knobs were so loose and it mad funny noises when playing (no I don't mean the sound coming out either)! Although it's very light and kinda weak looking, it had been abused hard and still was working.

If they are of similar construction, then I'd say that MS controller could do the job OK. Those small keys would still suck of course though.

Even the micro korg feels like a toy.....small plasticy keys with a very nasty feel to them. If you have not played with a weighted keyboard, you are missing out. Weighted keyboards are such a pleasure to play on, which is why I prefer to buy rack modules.....cos one day I will save up for a nice, weighted master MIDI controller..

I have never been a fan of the weighted keyboards myself. Using a Micro-korg for a controller keyboard would be a huge mistake though . Getting out ideas or programming while you are travelling would be fine though.
