Default New Song - The Ifrit's Caravan

This is a new song that I wrote for a bellydancer. All of the electronic sounds came from my Virus. All feedback is welcome!

I like the melodies kinda spooky
Did you play them yourself on the keys?

Cool! That is exactly what I intended, as the dancer that I wrote it for is into that spooky gothic stuff. I wrote the whole song in Finale first. Some of the phrases I played into Finale, and others I just wrote out. I think that the interesting thing is that all of the melodies are built using only five one-measure rhythms.

Yeah I think the percussion needs more work like you say...sounds a little slow & plodding. When I think of belly dancing I think of mad percussion arrangements...amongst other things ; )

Here is a new version. I replaced the sampled djembe with a recorded doumbek and tweaked the mix a bit. Let me know what you think!

The dancer who asked for it wanted a slow, sinuous song. Hopefully, I delivered!

I put up the final version, I hope. I am pleased with it!
