Default 3.01.9 Install issue

Hi using XP SP3 when installing all goes well until trying to find virus for firmware update. It does not seem to locate the TI. I have always kept the TI on the same USB and have had no previous issues with the updates....anyone help please.

Have desintalled all driver and programs, cleaned registry and retried...not detecting it

Thanks in advance

OK Sorted.

Reset unit and did manual restart using access utility in main Programs folder.

I had this issue every single time I tried to install 3.0.1.05... 3.0.1.06 seemed to install without any issues.

Yep it had me baffled.

Basically I resolved it like this :

1. Deinstalled driver
2. Rebooted PC with Virus disconneted
3. Cleaned registry using ccleaner (great program and its free)
4. Disconnected USB, audio leads and power left for for 30 secs.
5. Reconnected everything and switched on Virus whilst holding edit button, this puts the virus in USB update mode.
6. Reinstall driver update.
7. When updated tries to find Virus and fails, cancel install. If the Virus updates the firmware and is detected then you have no issue. If the update hangs and does not detect your Virus then, at this point all is ok in PC so drivers and VC software is all installed press cancel.
8. Goto the folder where you installed the softwares default :
C:\Program Files\Access Music\Virus TI
9. Goto folder : C:\Program Files\Access Music\Virus TI\Common
10 Run Virus control center and follow instructions.

It will tell you what version is installed and will automatically tell you a new update is ready.

Hope I haven't missed anything as for me all was then fine.

Hope this helps some peeps.

Peace

I had problems installing too, only the OS was Windows 7 (build 7068 ) so this is perhaps not that surprising. First it kept asking me if I have any other devices I want to install, without actually installing the first (and only) device. It then seemed to lose track of the firmware update towards the end and the Virus hardware (desktop) was left with the "Firmware updating..." type screen, while the PC told me it had finished.

Thank god Access built in such a ROBUST firmware flashing system or else my Ti would probably be bricked right now! I was able to just unplug the Ti and turn it back on in firmware update mode and try again. Excellent
