The Audiophile 192 is not a USB soundcard!

Why would you want to connect through a USB keyboard when you can connect straight to the computer?

The added latency exists because you have an extra link in the chain if you hook the Virus up to the keyboard, which in turn is connected to the computer.

Research these things before you go out and buy a hardware synth.

I never said that the Audiophile 192 was a USB soundcard. My point was that the latency would be the same if connected to the keyboard as if you connected it to a MIDI interface that is connected by USB (like my own). I can?t really see what difference it should make. It?s still gonna go thrue the USB...

Fair enough sounds like crossed hairs to me - I thought we were discussing the soundcard Lukas mentioned in his post - the Audiophile 192... I was simply trying to help Lukas with his situation and with his equipment he is best connecting the Virus to the computer.

I didn't realise you were discussing hypothetical scenarios, apologies.
