Free SPL Attacker plugin for PC/Mac
For a limited time only, for PC/Mac and in RTAS/VST formats:
http://www.spl.info/software/download/attacker4free.php Adds a nice professional 'snap' to the attack transients of audio, particularly on drums I've found. Sadly no modulation of attack times though, but it's free. Check it out.

Beware of the conditions though guys, you won't be able to use this when upgrading your PC unless you buy it. I'd call it a glorified demo, but still it looks wonderful.
I use EnvelopeShaper in Cubase 4 for this sorta stuff.
