Default glassy, detuned pads?

Any suggestions on how to go about creating some pads like in this tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppyGOWijFx0

All my attempts just sound like buzzy, odd chords. I can't get get that glassy, unsettling tone, nor the weird chords. Tips would be really appreciated!

Hi there,

Using the Virus' 63 spectral waves as oscillators are a must. They often have a tendency to sound very bell/glass/FM-like and lend themselves well to this purpose.

Use a tri/sin LFO to modulate loudness (channel volume maybe) to create that tremolo effect.

Tone down the filter EG to soften the sound somewhat.

For more extreme glassy effects, use chorus to modulate the sound and bump up the feedback.

Use a short attack and long decay on the amp EG, and choose a nice ambient reverb to go on top.

Very helpful, thanks! I confess to not having used the waves very much, and I'm already finding new directions and useful pads.
