Default Earthquake

5.2 on the richter last night in Lincolnshire.

Was awake at the time, lasted a good ten seconds. Stuff was vibrating on our shelves and walls, with some fantastic subsonic rumbling.

Thought it was a large herd of stampeding sheep.

uops... I hope all is right (I'm talking about buildings and things cos I think that people can't be damaged by an earthquake of that power)

5.2 is pretty decent... enough to freak you out a bit. I didn't realise you get earthquakes in UK

I hope everyone is ok. I never experienced one myself. Denmark is far from where continental plates meet so we never get earthquakes. I belive that earthquakes in England are very rare too. Am i right? Just one week ago there was the greatest earthquake in Norways history in never times (6,2 on the richter scale) of the shore of Svalbard/Spitsbergen. One of my close friends is going to move to Svalbard/Spitsbergen in 3 weeks from now for half a year and i´m going to visit him in august...

Here´s a map of how the continental plates move:
