Default spdif as 4th output?

I don't have a long enough spdif cable (yet)

I was wondering if it would be possible to use spdif out, next to 3x USB out, so that you have 4 induvidual digital outs?
I see spdif in the Control setup of the VSTi so i would see no reason why not.
But since i can't test it, I would like to know before buying a new spdif cable...

S/PDIF is just a mirror of outputs 1 & 2. So no, will not be able to use that. However, you should be able to use your analog outputs, in addition to the USB outs for up to 6 stereo outs.

Don't buy spidif cables. Use good RCA's and you'll be fine. It's a ploy from monster cable to take your money.

Aren't you supposed to use a coax cable for spdif, though? But definately, do not buy anything from Monster! Man, those guys make me want to wretch with their abhorrent marketing practices! $200 for a HDMI cable to carry a digital signal? Different grades of digital cables? If I weren't completely opposed to lawsuits on the basis of principle, I would sue those bastards!

$6 S/PDIF cables from Hosa are pretty good.
