Default how to make envelope sensitive to velocity

hello,
i would like to know how to make the key on my midi keyboard when played touch sensitive; soft press will make sound quieter and hard pressed will make loud. Also, is there a way to modulate the Velocity with amp envelope to achieve what i mentioned above. i am using a mac with logic and Access Virus TI2. thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there.

It's in the common patch parameters. You can map Velocity to:

Volume (which to all intents and purposes is the amp envelope);
The intensity of filter envelopes 1 and/or 2;
The resonance of filters 1 and/or 2;
Panorama;
FM amount;
The shape of oscillators 1 and/or 2;
And pulse width of oscillators 1 and 2 together;

^ The above are just the basic velocity modulation settings. You can have them modulate all at the same time if you want.

... However, you can use the mod-matrix (modulation matrix) to map velocity to nearly anything else. Just use "VeloOn" (velocity at key-on) as a source, and then select any destination(s) that you want to affect, and then the amount as to how much you'd like velocity to affect them.
