Default Anyone there?

I cant believe Im here.
I was hit tonight nostalgia on a scale like never before.
This is the place where synth addiction started for me at the age of 12,when at 13 I bought my first virus.

Chatting with timo,DS and juho (which later disapeared never to be seen, perhaps his famouse pirate ship has sunk...)

Any of the old mates still around here?

Yes m8!

Still here....like a few others...have had to deal with some issues in my personal life in recent months/years.

Do you still have your Virus? I'm currently saving up for a the TI MK3...which Im hoping for sometime next year.

Keep in touch man, I can be found on YoutTube under 'digitalscreams'

PS - have you finished your army service yet?

The SynthWizard has some advice - Back in the 1980's music was better, TV was better, films were better. Not to mention fashion.... Let me help you relive the past with some classic 80's sounds from my vintage synth collection....

Currently in hospital with tubes up my knob for the last two weeks. Got Virus withdrawal. Love my little Indigo.

Whenever the next gen Virus has designable/customisable waveform oscillators I'll try my very best to upgrade. The price of Viruses these days are exorbitant. I remember when the Indigo 2 was £1169, its current successor the TI2 Polar is well over £1800, and nearly £2000 from Access directly.

A ribbon for tactile modulation would be a bonus. I think Access have sat on their arse a bit when it comes to controllers. Synthesis is all about performance modulation, it's only a good thing when several unique tactile controls to offer better live performances are included. XY Joystick, XY pad etc. You can achieve unique performance possibilities with a ribbon/xy-pad that you could never do with a knob or wheel: tapping, gating, scratching, vector-based swipes, controlling two mod sources (axes) at the same time, having greater tactile dynamic control over creating smooth curves, etc.. all with just one finger.

I still can't get used to vertical pitch bend wheels. Korg's XY joystick for example is a boon in this aspect, you can go mental with it (licking left and right for pitch, and up or down for using as two separate modulation sources respectively), as well as being able to use the XZ pressure ribbon, along with two further customisable switches, all easily at the same time with one hand.

Good to see you again Tomer and Digi!

You're probably thinking of esteemed gentleman Ben Crosland. Not that Digital Screams is not esteemed, nor a gentleman, well at weekends anyway.

As for Ti|3, surprised one wasn't announced this year. Gotta be next year. Then again my predictions have been shockingly bad.

Gotta love a catheter. Wish you the best and a speedy recovery Timo, been there and done that, so hard to get sleep when every movement is bloody painful.
