Default used virus

I was thinking about getting a used virus from Ebay. My biggest concern is if or when it breaks down what are my options. I live in Chicago, USA. Can I take it someplace local (like Korg or Roland whom have official repair stations in my area), or do I have to ship it to Access.(what are the costs in that?) Or are they willing to help me if I can find someone to repair it locally, with a schematic and selling me parts?
I just heard the demo of Virus A, that's all I need. I'm just trying to see if it is cost effective in the long run.

well you can get a virus a for realy cheap,350-400 euro on ebay
thats no money...
about braking down dont worry it doesnt happen, access make solid stone synths
you should look for someone near your area selling it so you can take a short drive and touch it before buying it.

~Welcome to Planet Virus~

I reckon you might quickly outgrow the A......why not spend a little more and get a used C???

It will probably save you money in the long run, and will be a product you will get more enjoyment out of. Have a think about it....

Whichever way you go, you will be more than happy with the Virus sound in your music!

Cheers!

i bought a second hand virus b from ebay a couple of months ago. so far access tech support havent cared a jot that my virus is second hand although that said ive never had any problems with it that required it to be sent back to base. they are pretty friendly though and it seems like access really care about their customer relations so i dont expect them to leave me in the lurch with no way out. i dont mind paying to get my virus fixed if it does at some point breakdown. maybe i should send them an email and ask about this eventuality...

EDIT: also, virus b desktops are soooooo badly the way to go waay cheaper than the virus c, for most intents and purposes sounds exactly the same minus a few bits and bobs like the EQ which can be done externally anyway and the moog filter which im not too fussed about. virus b's are also plentiful on ebay.
