might want to check these guys out - havent used them personally but have read some good reviews - http://www.bluecataudio.com/Products..._FreewarePack/

Sonalksis Essentials do a decent freq analyst as well. Another less specific but useful one you could check out is Fabfilter Pro Q - it has a pre and post eq frequency analyser which is really helpful for learning whereabouts frequencies are in the mix - soon enough youll stop using the visual aid as your ears get more attuned. Plus its a really nifty EQ plug in it's own right.
